Hitchcock Nature Center

4.8

Overview

The Hitchcock Nature Center campground is located ten miles north of Council Bluffs along the Loess Hills scenic byway. The campground features 18 RV sites with electrical service, a modern shower house, water hydrants, and a dump station. Tent camping sites are also available near the campground, along with four primitive camping sites located deep within the Honey Creek preserve.

Three cabins are located behind the campgrounds and include air conditioning and heating, electricity, a refrigerator, microwave, and tables and chairs. Each campground sleeps five; bring your own bedding, pillows, and cooking and dining supplies. Cost is $47.25 per night; reservations are required. While the campground is year-round, water is turned off and the dump site is unavailable during winter months.
