Sheila Craig has been presenting on the history of aprons for nearly 15 years, and has collected more than 400. Her earliest apron dates from the early 1910s and is plain white with lacy trim patched with cross-woven thread. See several examples of the fabrics, trims and styles, and discover the many uses of aprons, which have been around since biblical times. Sheila's collection includes wedding aprons, half-aprons, children's aprons, smocks, international aprons, and more! This program is free and open to the public and has been made possible with help from the Council Bluffs Public Library Foundation.
