Join us on North Elm Street in Avoca, Iowa for an all-local, chef-hosted, five-course meal right on Avoca Main Street. Happy Hour begins at the Avoca Legion Hall at 112 N Elm Street at 5 p.m. Weather permitting, we will move to dine outside from 6-8 p.m. Chefs James Calkins & Kaleb Darrington will be designing a vegetarian feast this year, procuring all ingredients from Avoca Main Street Farmers Market vendors and other Iowa producers. Enjoy entertainment from the modern ragtime band, McCarthy Trenching, while you dine.
- Course 1: za’atar flatbread + Turkish hummus with olive oil + sumac
- Course 2: green salad + tahini vinaigrette with honey-roasted vegetables, pearl couscous + spiced nuts
- Course 3: ribollita (Tuscan kale + bean stew) with fresh herbs, aged parmesan + sourdough
- Course 4: ratatouille (Provençal summer vegetable casserole) with tomato, zucchini, eggplant + fresh herbs
- Course 5: goat cheese cake + seasonal fruit with honey + granola crunch
